Schools are re-opening this week, with a variety of Covid restrictions in place.
UK schools are expected to offer face-to-face teaching to all age groups.
This includes effective online learning for pupils who are absent and isolating.
In England, secondary school pupils will now wear masks in class until 26 January, when there will be review. Previously masks were only required in communal areas.
The government is also making 7,000 air cleaning units available to early years settings, schools and colleges - although Labour says this is not enough.
