On 23rd April 2026, The Rt Hon Lord Justice Cobb was announced as President of the Family Division, Head of Family Justice, President of the Court of Protection and Head of Probate. The appointment follows the retirement of Sir Andrew McFarlane and the recommendation of an independent selection panel chaired by the Lady Chief Justice, Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill.
